These orange chocolate protein donuts are the perfect low-sugar, high-protein snack! Easy to make and packed with flavor.

- ½ cup King Arthur Gluten-Free flour
- ½ cup of Unflavored Protein Powder
- 2 tablespoons of Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- Zest of 1 Orange
- ½ teaspoon Baking Powder
- ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
- ¾ cup Unsweetened Coconut Milk
- 1 Egg, room temperature
- 1 tablespoon Butter, melted
- 6 tablespoons Sugar
- ½ teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, mix the flour, protein powder, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and orange zest.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, melted butter, vanilla, coconut milk and sugar.
- Combine: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture and stir until combined.
- Pour: Into a ziploc bag or frosting bag pour the batter to easily add to the donut pan, trust me this is a pro move and makes everything easier!
- Bake: Spoon the batter into the donut pan and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool, Dip and Enjoy: Let the donuts cool before removing them from the pan. Dip in the optional glaze and top with more orange zest!
