Ingredients

- 2 cups rolled oats
- Zest of 1 orange
- Ā¼ cup brown sugarĀ
- Ā¼ cup of unsweetened apple sauceĀ
- Ā¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
- 2 flax eggs (2 tablespoons of flax seed + 6 tablespoons of water)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 Ā½ tsp baking powder
- Ā½ tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350Ā°F (175Ā°C) and line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper or spray with oil.
- Make Flax Egg: In a small bowl combine the flax seed and water, stir and let sit for 10 minutes until it gels.Ā
- Mix Ingredients: In a medium bowl mix together all your ingredients, leaving the dried cranberries and mini chocolate chips (optional) for last.Ā
- Bake: Press the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Cool and Cut: Let the bars cool before cutting into squares. Store them in an airtight container for up to a week.
