Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • Ā¼ cup brown sugarĀ 
  • Ā¼ cup of unsweetened apple sauceĀ 
  • Ā¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 flax eggs (2 tablespoons of flax seed + 6 tablespoons of water)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 Ā½ tsp baking powder
  • Ā½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • Pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350Ā°F (175Ā°C) and line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper or spray with oil.
  2. Make Flax Egg: In a small bowl combine the flax seed and water, stir and let sit for 10 minutes until it gels.Ā 
  3. Mix Ingredients: In a medium bowl mix together all your ingredients, leaving the dried cranberries and mini chocolate chips (optional) for last.Ā 
  4. Bake: Press the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. Cool and Cut: Let the bars cool before cutting into squares. Store them in an airtight container for up to a week.
