5 Ingredient Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

McKenzie

Soft, chewy peanut butter cookies topped with a Hershey’s Kiss. This cookie is a staple in some households when it comes to holiday baking. Skip the bagged mix and start from scratch with 5 simple ingredients – I promise its just as easy!

The Peanut Butter Kiss cookie or better known as the Peanut Butter Blossom as I recently learned was apparently an accident. Freda Smith intended to make peanut butter cookies with chocolate chips for the 1957 Pillsbury Bake-Off, however, she found herself without chocolate chips and decided to use Hershey kisses instead.

Anyway, enough with the history lesson

Why you’ll love these cookies

I love making these cookies and over the years have tried a few different variations, with a pre-packaged mix if I am in a hurry, gluten-free boxed mix, and most recently from scratch with no flour. The recipe featured here is the clear winner for me, the ease, texture, and taste beat everything I have tried in the past. They’re gluten-free friendly and great for anyone looking to watch their carb intake.
